What is a S-O-L Manager
S-O-L Managers can be appointed in any group, team but particularly in organisations. They are responsible for the installation of S-O-L across this complete grouping of people.
In order to offer each member of these groupings the opportunity to become an S-O-Ler, and to establish S-O-L across the whole system; they create what we have called Systems 7. This offers each member a continuing opportunity to continually develop their learning abilities. To achieve this it is suggested that various people accept responsibility for one of five S-O-L supportive roles. These roles can be developed and rotated as the whole team agrees. We have called these the FIVE NODES of SYSTEM 7. In the following figure these have black backgrounds.
These FIVE NODES use 7 SYSTEMS to create and operate what we, at present, have found to be an effective means of enabling almost any grouping, (of say from 10 to 10,000) to use, develop and update their ability to learn. Use the diagram to clarify what follows.
The SEVEN SYSTEMS are:-
- The PROCESS of LEARNING
- The LEARNING CONVERSATION
- CREATING LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
- EXPANDING LEARNING HORIZONS
- DEVELOPING the LNG. CONVERSATIONS
- INCREASING the Range of 3. ie LCs
- ENABLING EVERYBODY TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE LEARNING POLICY OF THE WHOLE
